New high-reflection powder coatings can boost LED lighting up to 30
AkzoNobel has released a new powder coating product, InterponReFlex high-reflective powder coating, which can improve the lighting efficiency of up to 30 lamps. Based on excellent reflective properties, this powder coating developed by the Powder Coatings Strategic Markets Group can further help customers reduce energy consumption. Like other powder products, it is a non-solvent coating and contains no volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Whether at LED, fluorescent, halogen or other sources, InterponReFlex high-reflective powder coatings help the luminaires reflect stronger, brighter light at rated power. Mark Reekie, Regional Marketing Manager for AkzoNobel Powder Coatings in Western Europe, adds that InterponReFlex high-reflective powder coatings offer outstanding impact and flexibility compared to other non-coating solutions, and are resistant to corrosion and resistance. The level of ultraviolet light is also higher and the construction is easier. Currently, InterponReFlex high-reflection powder coatings have been recognized by major North American lighting manufacturers. In 2015, this new powder coating will be launched globally.
